Professional Services

The Port of Edmonds will acquire equipment, materials and services in a manner that is consistent with statutory provisions of the Revised Code of Washington and that result in the most effective delivery of services considering not only cost but value received. Professional services such as legal services, engineering, architectural or other consulting services are to be solicited on a qualification basis. Selection of the most qualified firm is made and then a fair and reasonable price for anticipated services is negotiated. Minority firms will be considered for solicitation, as required. If professional services are over $100,000, then the Port will advertise for written proposals from qualified consultants. The Port administration will review the proposals and select three (3) consultants for interview. The Port administration will conduct the interviews and select the consultant based on experience, qualifications and reference response. Professional Services include any service that results in technical advice, whether verbal or written, including design work.
