Weather Conditions: Dry Storage Operation Update 12/29/2021

From all of us at the Port, we hope you had a wonderful holiday season!

The recent snow and cold have created unsafe operating conditions for Dry Storage, but the Port Staff is clearing snow, salting the drive aisles, and preparing the forklifts. We will do everything possible to be up and running ahead of the crabbing closure, blackmouth opener, and New Years. We appreciate your patience – we want to serve our boaters, and are working to make it happen as quickly as possible!

New Years Day is an observed holiday for the Port of Edmonds Staff; please note that launches will not be available on 1/1/2022.

Weather and conditions permitting:

  • We will be conducting launches on Friday, 12/31/2021. If you plan to use your boat on New Years Day, you must schedule a launch appointment for 12/31/2021. Please get in touch with our Dry Storage staff as soon as possible.
  • On Sunday, 1/2/2022, our team will begin removing boats from the water. If you schedule a launch, please ensure that your boat is prepared to remain in the water until 1/2/2022.
  • Please note that an appointment does not guarantee a launch; conditions must be determined safe for operations by Port Staff on 12/31/2021.

Please note:

  • The parking lots, walkways, ramps, docks, and boats are slippery – take extra caution.
  • Due to freezing temperatures, water is not available on the docks or at the washdown.
  • The current forecast for Thursday 12/30/2021 is predicting additional snowfall; therefore, we are not anticipating the ability to move boats.

New Hours of Operation Effective January 2, 2022

  • Dry Storage Open Daily 7:00 am  – 5:00 pm
