The Port of Edmonds uses a sling launch system and is one of the few places on Puget Sound where boaters can launch boats from trailers without having to back their trailer into saltwater. 
The Port of Edmonds has operated a public launch since 1970, and is in close proximity to some of the most desirable fishing areas in Puget Sound.

The current state of the art launcher has been in operation since 1991.Highly skilled, trained staff are responsible for operation of the launch, which is open twelve hours each day during the peak boating season and ten hours each day during the winter.
